The owners of apartments and homes in Turkey have still a few days to pay their property tax. The period between September 1 and November 30 is a time when you can pay the second part of the property tax. The amount of the tax which varies from 0.1% to 0.6% is calculated individually for each housing option because it depends on the cadastral cost. And you will have to pay additional 10% for real estate which is of cultural heritage. In the towns of Antalya where demand on property is very high, tax rates are doubled.
Municipal taxes and charges will be included in the same bill: the annual tax on waste collection (about $ 50 a year) and a tax on incomes from renting housing.
You can pay your taxes in the administration of Alanya or the district where your property is located. You can also pay the tax online on the site of the administration with a credit card.
Foreigners are going to spend Christmas and New Year holidays in Turkey
Russians took the first place among foreigners who booked hotels on New Year holidays. Such statistics were announced by the representative of the Association of Turkish travel agencies. The main reasons of the increased interest to Turkey are:
- rather cheap tours — the average price of an "all inclusive" New Year tour which tour operators offer is 500-600 € for two persons for seven days. Want to save more — housing rental in Alanya will save your money;
- sunshine and ski all inclusive — the bright and warm sun warms up the coast of Alanya and Antalya to the comfortable temperature of +12°С — +15°С and the temperature of water even up to +16°С +18°С. Going skiing, you can count on all inclusive system. Turkey is probably the only country where hotels of ski resorts offer full board;
- excursions — winter is the best time for exploring cultural and historical sites.
Christmas and New Year are very popular in Turkey. They are celebrated with Christmas tree on the main square, festive ambiance, bright decorations, exquisite foods, charity fairs, sales, and various entertainment activities.

Will Pobeda fly to Alanya?
Good news comes from Turkey. Besides the fact that Turkey will continue to support financially charter flights till the end of November, 2016 and start supporting again in the spring 2017, new routes will be available soon as well as new carriers. So, according to the Pobeda CEO Andrey Kalmykov, he asked the Ministry of Transport to allow his company to fly from Russia to Alanya.
His arguments are rather simple: Alanya is one of the most popular resorts among Russians. A flight directly to Alanya will save the time for Antalya transfer. In addition, this route could become year-round. According to the Federal Agency of Air Transport, this issue will be discussed soon in negotiations with Turkey.
What will it give to Russians? They will be able to easily get to Turkey from Russia without wasting a lot of time and money, which will be especially convenient for those who want to buy an apartment in Alanya.
