E-ikamet online service of getting residence permit has been updated

E-ikamet is an electronic system through which you can get a new Turkish residence permit or renew an old one. The system started working online in May, 2015. An opportunity of online application has made the process of getting a residence permit by foreigners who bought property in Turkey much easier.

After being out of service for a while, the system works again and some new services are added. Now the users can save a draft application, get e-mail and SMS notifications confirming sending of the application, track the status of the application. Besides, you can pay a tax and fees for processing applications with a credit card.

 

Turkish real estate sales are expected to grow in 2016

The representatives of the real estate business sector stated that the property sales continued to grow in 2015 despite the negative developments. And it is expected that 1.5 million housing options will be sold in 2016.

Nizameddin Asa, the president of Istanbul Real Estate Brokers & Advisors Chamber, said that the political uncertainty and the tension between Turkey and Russia had a negative impact on the economy of the country in 2015. But despite this fact, the construction market will continue booming and the real estate sales could reach 1.5 million in 2016. He also added that this figure could be reached if the project development is focused on prospective buyers.

The president of the Residential Developers' and Investors' Association (KONUTDER) Ömer Faruk Çelik noted that the number of property sales in Turkey will exceed 1.3 million this year only if this sector is not faced with any problems in the market. He added that the sector growth is estimated to reach four percent in 2016 or even to surpass this figure and break a record.

 

Canadian company will become a sponsor of the high-speed railways in Turkey

The project of the Turkish Ministry of Transport on expansion of the high-speed railways is being actively implemented. The railway connecting Ankara and Istanbul and Marmaray tunnel under the Bosphorus have already been opened. And it is planned to construct 10 000 km of railways: four lines are already under construction and at least five lines including Antalya-Konya-Kayseri and Istanbul-Antalya are at the design stage.

It was said that one of the investors will be the Canadian Bombardier Transportation Company. Besides, this company is going to invest 100 million dollars into the project of the turkish company Bozanskaya. The Canadian company will be the supplier of the high-speed trains. The total amount of trains will be 106 items.

Alanya invites to have a submarine excursion

A new kind of tourism services is offered in Alanya. Now tourists have an opportunity to dive down to the seabed and to have 1.5-hour excursion. Underwater trip is organized on board of the tourist submarine. This is a reliable ship made in Finland. It can carry 48 passengers and two crew members. The submarine has modern equipment, therefore the passengers will not feel any pressure drops.

The excursions will begin in April, 2016. It is planned to have up to six excursions a day. And it will be available the whole year. Besides the excursions, it is possible to organize different events on board. 

"The Most Beautiful Balcony" and "The Most Beautiful Garden" contest has been started in Alanya

In order to improve the city environment, the Municipality of Alanya launched a contest for the most beautiful balcony and garden.

The contest began on February 15 and it will last until April 20, 2016. Every city resident can become a participant. The only thing needed is to present your object. Within two months the jury made up of the architects and landscape gardeners will examine the contest objects.

And the results will be announced on May 2-5. The winners will get 2000, 1500, and 1000 dollars for the first, the second, and the third places respectively.
