The Aviation authorities of Russia and Turkey agreed to launch new flights between two countries. According to the signed memorandum of understanding, new regular flights will connect Istanbul with Zhukovsky Airport and Grozny and Moscow with Gazipasa Airport in Antalya province.

In addition, during the meeting chaired by Deputy of Head of the Turkish SHGM (The Directorate General of Civil Aviation) Bahri Kesici and Deputy of Director the Department of State Policy in Civil Aviation of the Russian Ministry of Transport Sergey Seskutov, the parties discussed the cooperation of Russian and Turkey in civil aviation after the crisis in the bilateral relations which had a negative impact on the aviation and tourism industries.

It was also announced that Gazipasa Airport was chosen as a new destination for flights from Russia and Sochi Airport as a new destination for Turkish air carriers.
